Warmer Kiwi Homes Programme
Warmer Kiwi Homes is a Government subsidy programme to help make homes better heated. There is a subsidy for ceiling and underfloor insulation and ground moisture barriers and for heating appliances.
The Government subsidy covers 80 to 90% of the costs. In Dunedin and Central Otago, Cosy Homes can help you cover the remainder to make the insulation programme free for qualifying households. This is thanks to funding from the Otago Community Trust, Dunedin City Council and Central Lakes Trust.
To be eligible you need to be a Community Services Card holder or live in an identified lower income area.
