Warmer Kiwi Homes Programme
Warmer Kiwi Homes is a Government subsidy programme to help make homes warmer, drier and less costly to heat. There is a subsidy for ceiling and underfloor insulation and ground moisture barriers, and for heat pumps.
The Government subsidy covers 80 to 90% of the costs. In Dunedin, Clutha, Waitaki and Central Otago, Cosy Homes can help you cover the remainder to make the insulation programme free for qualifying households. This is thanks to funding from the Otago Community Trust, Dunedin City Council and Central Lakes Trust.
To be eligible you need to be a Community Services Card, or Gold card holder, or live in an identified lower income area.
