Cosy Homes is a key delivery partner for the Dunedin City Council's Energy Plan for objectives relating to making homes warmer and more energy efficient. Cosy Homes and Dunedin City Council have a shared goal of ensuring all homes in the city are warm and cosy by 2025.
Dunedin City Council contributes $62,500 annually in matching funds to leverage Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority Funds through the Warm Up New Zealand: Healthy Homes programme. Cosy Homes administers the DCC’s contribution, with 100% of funds going to insulating homes.
Cosy Homes is a key partner for Otago Regional Council's Air Quality Implementation Programme in the region's five AirZone towns: Alexandra, Arrowtown, Clyde, Cromwell and Milton. ORC provides operational funding to Cosy Homes for coordination of this programme in the AirZone towns, which promotes better air quality through the uptake of ultra low-emission burners and other clean heating appliances, and improved thermal and energy efficiency of the housing stock.

Chief Executive Barbara Bridger highlights that there are very good synergies between what the Cosy Homes Charitable Trust is aiming to achieve and the Warm Homes programme the Otago Community Trust already champions.
“It is often quoted that $1 spent on insulation saves $5 in health savings to families, this relates to reduced medical bills, less time away from work due to ill children. Therefore, we passionately believe in helping people across Otago improve the insulation and heating of their homes.” - Chief Executive Barbara Bridger
